more free music for you: Deleted Scenes Pre-Release 4

If you’ve been checking out these tracks I’ve been giving away, this one is a bit darker in comparison.  But this collection runs the gamut.  There’s even one that reminds me of Dionne Warwick.

The other tracks from the forthcoming album, “Deleted Scenes” which I’ve released so far as nameless full-length previews can be found HERE

Right now the track count for Deleted Scenes is at Eighteen!  That’s pretty good. A few are shorties like this one but all together this album is shaping up to be a nice sized experience.  Beyond the main eighteen tracks I’m working with, there are other tracks that might get included if they flow well with the others.

My friend Elijah has been helping me make production decisions on these.  Right now I have a to-do list that Elijah and I came up with over the course of a couple days I spent with him at his place in Oakland.  Here’s my basic plan:

  • I’m releasing these songs as unnamed “full-length previews” as I get each track’s current to-do items done.
  • Then, I’m hopefully going to do another session with Elijah and gather feedback from my friends and from people like you.
  • Then another round of revisions based on that final feedback.
  • Finally, I hope to get access to some of the unused audio and background sound/noise from the film, Four Eyed Monsters (which all these tracks were originally created for but not used in).  I’d like to add some interesting stuff, sort of sprinkled throughout, to help give the album an abstract sense of story and place.
  • Then I’ll mix it down and  become rich and famous… Or at least I’ll mix it down and spend time and money making it available to people who might enjoy it.
